Liars are assholes

If there's one thing I hate, it's a liar.

If you do, or have done, something to hurt me just grow the balls and tell me.  There is no sense in lying about it, because it's inevitable that I will just find out eventually.

Being lied to hurts.  I will hate you less if you just fess up to whatever it is that you did wrong.

Liars are cowards, that's what I've decided.

Dear Shay,

{Jackson Hole, 2009}

I cannot wait to see your face tomorrow!! I've missed you so fucking much.  It's going to be so nice when we live closer so that I don't have to be without you for such long stretches of time.  It's torture!

How to Annoy a Co-worker

I work in a large office building with roughly 200 employees that are on the same floor as me.  They do stupid shit that pisses me off on a daily basis.  Here are a few of the things that annoy me:
  • They eat my lunch out of the fridge, even if my name is written on it
  • They don't always flush the toilet
  • They forward every email that they ever receive to everyone in the company assuming that we all have the same dumb humor they do
  • If their food makes a mess in the microwave they don't always clean it up, apparently they think their mom works here too
  • They park like assholes
  • They talk into my ear telling me the same old stories every single day, even if it is obvious that I am trying to ignore them
  • They come up and talk to me when I'm on the phone with a customer
For the most part I like the people that I work with, but anyone who shows the above behavior on a daily basis makes me crazy, and is therefore excluded from being liked.  If you would like to avoid being the person within your company that everyone hates, don't do these things.

A Great Escape

I just recently finished reading this series.

I must say, it was fantastic!  If you are a lover of books, or just someone who enjoys a little break and a great story every once in a while, this series is for you.  I was sucked in from the first word.

Almost everyone that I work with had read it and they were all talking about how amazing it was. I have to admit, everything that I heard about it from the first time a co worker uttered it's name to me seemed a little out there and I wasn't sure if I would like it or not.  It's set in the future, and the main idea behind the series is that each year a boy and girl from each district are thrown into an arena to fight to the death.

After I finished the first book I had the second and third done in a matter of days.  The story is so original, which it seems the world is lacking lately.  I would definately recommend that you go pick them up!

A Look Back at 2010

Looking back on the posts that I did in 2010 makes me realize how uneventful the year was for us.  It seemed like we had a lot going on, but obviously not much was worth blogging about.  I'm hoping that in 2011 we will be able to experience some great new adventures that will make for some great stories to better entertain you.

Here's a look back at some of the more interesting moments in 2010:

How was your 2010?  Any great plans for 2011??

Project GP

Well, I finally did it.  I convinced my husband to buy me a Guinea pig.

Don't get too excited, shortly after I managed to persuade him I talked myself out of it.  For now.

Once I was given the green light to finally get a Guinea pig I was so excited to go pick out all of the necessary supplies to make our new little buddy comfortable.  I had no idea that it was going to be so expensive.  I have decided to wait until we have our own house again so that we can make sure we have the space and the funds to properly take care of him.  The cages that we saw were all so ugly, and the ones that I have seen online that I really like are super expensive.

Not to mention all of the shit I will need to keep his cage clean as well as treats and food.  Yikes.
